I have a '06 MR also. To start off, you will need to get a 3 inch turbo-back exhaust (no resonators and straight pipe if possible), boost controller with boost gauge (electronic if possible), and a stock ECU reflash. These three will have the biggest gains for the Evo. I didn't mess with my intake, but I added a K&N drop-in air filter. This is a very strong first step and it really will make a significant difference in the performance, sound, and in the personality of your Evo.

I have a 05 EVO VIII and for my stage 1 I turned boost up to 23psi and had it tuned for 93oct. Already had a cat back exhaust on it from the guy who sold it to me so I had a test pipe put in. I also upgrades my fuel pump added boost a/f and oil pressure gauges had the ecu reflashed and went with a evo ix metal diverter valve and some other things. I am around 305whp right now and its a pretty big difference from stock. I also have an aftermarket intake with a k and n cone style high flow filter.

Nice man, So i was thinking about
1. Injen EVO Intake w/Upper + Lower Intercooler Pipes
2. Megan Racing EVO Turbo Back Exhaust System
3. (Possible) Invidia EVO High Flow o2 Housing Turbo Outlet
a. Can this 02 housing be used with the turboback or is it not needed? ( if it adds more power ill take it but if not then yea..)
4. Flash from Dynoflash or JNZtuning.
Does this sound feasable for my first mods...???
Most likely ordered from Lancershop.com or if any1 knows of anything better than these parts i am more than happy to know about them...
Basically if any1 knows of an exhaust/intake sytem that will add more power than the one listed above or is this something i should start reserching more..?
Thanks again

I think the O2 housing will only make a significant difference when you get deep into your mods. Different companies such as AMS & Buschur have a # of stages to go through. You can go through them or you can choose your own path where you can pick and choose your own brands and your choice of mods. I went with my different choices since it pleased me the most. I would start with the basic mods, and then progress to the deeper stuff in the future. I asked my tuner what are the best mods to start off with and that will make the biggest difference in my Evo. He said a turbo-back exhaust, a boost controller, and a reflash. And boy was he right. I would recommend you look at the thread named "Modding for Dummies." I picked up a lot of info from that thread. All the best!
