what year evo?

What is the best year evo to buy from 03 to 06? My brother has a 05, I just want a cheap one so i can build it but if it is really a big deal to get a newer year then i will do so. Any reccomendations or suggestions about what year evo to get. Thanks.

Depends on what you want to use the car for, etc.

More than likely 06 would be best.

Also search, this question gets asked pretty much every day.

06 is definitely the best if you want to max the stock turbo.

+1 on a EVO IX. The IX MIVEC motor seems to respond a bit better to mods than the non MIVEC EVO 8 motor.
