Ams makes great quality products but there expensive, the k&n intake was a bad success for the evo for some reason it make's run horrible,i hear really good thing's about the perrin and it would be the same price as the k&n.Now for the b.o.v don't use the one's you mentioned there only give you headache's stalling, bogging, and thrown off af's at any given moment between shifts. If your running more then 28 psi then get one, but make sure you buy a reculatiing kit to help with any issue's stalling etc, just use a stock evo 9 mr jdm spec which can hold up to 30 psi, with alittle crushing,i did the same on mine and also your hear the nice sound from the turbo spooling and releasing the pressure you no the nice slash sound between shifts.

Stick with the stock, unless its the plastic valve. The stock plastic has nasty boost leaks. Mine leaked after 3 months. The spring on the metal valve will hold more boost than the plastic also. -s
