Tire question and help?

Alright guys about to pick up some wheels and not sure what tires to get with them. The wheel size is 18x9. Now my goals as for wheels is good on the street and some thing i can use at the track from time to time and also want my car to look better and have them look wide. my friend suggested 255/35/18 but not sure what brand. IF you guys can help and make some suggestions id really appreciate it also would like to hear what some of you guys are running as for tires. Dont come in here flaming as im just asking question keep your stupid comments to yourself if you dont intend to help answer my questions. Thanks

In general, we would need to know what you want to use the car for, where you live (snow/no snow - if that even matters since its a 2nd rim), etc.

Check out the reviews and info on the Dunlop Z1 Star Specs. They are my road course / autocross tire.

yup. i run the dunlop direzza star specs. they are a great tire. life of time seems good so far, handleing is good when the tire is cold. handling is amazing when the tires get hot. like for example when u get on an on-ramp they do ok. after a few exits and u take the off-ramp.... ALL GRIP. sick tire.

I was just recently in the market for some tires, I wanted Toyo's but in my current financial situation I could not get the ones I wanted. I went to Town Fair Tire and got Nexen N3000, for like 120 a tire. Then I went online and found them for $85 a tire. They gave me back the difference. So I got a set of 4 tires, mounted, balanced, and a alignment for under $500.
