not jacking your thread or anything but for you experienced turbo owners............

with a boost controller will that void your warranty? and exactly what can you do with it i know you can up boost and make it faster but can you also lower it as low as no boost to save gas if you wanted? im sure it wouldnt be worth it but is it possible?

Nope, applies to all cars. You will hurt the reaction time when you face an emergency situation due to the fact that you're not in gear. And because of this, weight transfer plays an important role. Swerving while coasting will result a very unstable and dangerous turn, and steering while braking result heavy understeer.

In some states it is even illegal to coast with the car in neutral due to the safety issues 4Trouble mentioned. If you ever get in a wreck and you were in neutral for whatever reason, dont say anything about it or you can get written up. This almost happened to me before I knew it was illegal {thumbdwn** .

in traffic at 5mph (i.e., no gear land) neutral is fine imo.

another tip would be when going WOT in 2nd gear to ride it out up to 6k rpms (if stock) to avoid a nasty drivetrain clunk when depressing the clutch.

Take a look at a dyno sheet from stock Evo. Use that to get an idea of where to shift. When I first drove my car I would shift at 7000 rpm like another poster earlier suggested. After seeing a dyno I noticed the car really lost power after 6500 rpm. I started shifting a little sooner and knocked some time off of my quarter. It takes some practice and a little patience but you will get it right. You have come to the right place for sure!!! Good luck and enjoy your Evo!!

Take it to a track day ( road race track, not 1/4ml) and drive it until you learn the limits...as the for the 1/4 ml stuff...the other posts here are covering the issues.

Thanks for the tips! keep'em coming....

What you guys crusing (RPM wise) at?

Can the engine handle always driving at high rpms 5-6k (not cruising, just while getting her going) or am I just looking for trouble in the future? Is it ok to continually push the car to 6k? (note - this may be a stupid questions but i'm new to the turbo game....)

Hondas need VTAK which doesnt kick in until 5-6k
For 3k shifting, diesel is the way to go
