If I can't get any of those, I usually go with Shell.

To support this, my IX was tuned on Phillips and it made really good power, but it would have slight events on other brands. I went back to Phillips, and the knock counts went away. After that, I tried to start tuning on Shell and driving on Phillips. Unfortunately, Phillips66 and 76 are really sparse around here. Conoco is plentiful south of here, but not in my area.

When I self-tuned my VIII, I always used Phillips 66.

I think you're decently good to go if you use any of the above and stay with a top tier gasoline, so you can extend the Shell recommendation to include Chevron and Exxon as well.
Weird...Phillips 66 stations by me are just so dirty I would never even think about buying gas from them.

ConocoPhillips in Oklahoma have some of the nicest gas stations around. I still go to a shell gas station though cause it sells 93 and 101 oct

Here in San Diego Co, there is only one pipeline and one distribution point for the semi tanker trucks to fill up at. They supposedly add different additive packages as they fill each different company's truck... but yeah, there isn't really any difference in our gas here.

On another forum, a truck driver who hauls San Diego gas said every truck is filled from the exact same supply (next to QualCom stadium) regardless of brand. Then he's given the jug of additive to pour in before he leaves the depot. Confirms what you said, and it's straight from the horses mouth.

Good info. You're talking about the gas depot down by Qualcomm?

Every restaurant starts making steak, from the raw steak.
But the the end results are not a same right? Only differences is the spices and the chef, but you still have your favorite steak house , don't you?
Against all odds, since it is a same steak, only with a little powder and cooking difference...
