Perfect Timing (Front Plate Questions)

I have had my X for 2 months and the dealership said that once my hard tags have arrived i would get a post card in the mail from them. Since I bought the X in DL they told me once they came in they would mail them to me. will i had called a couple times askin if they came in yet becuz the time on my temp tags were almost up. they said just wait for the post card. well i got the postr card late last week and i called and told them to mail them to me. ive been waitin all week thinkin what will i do if they dont get to me in time becuz i dotn wanna go a weekend w/o my X.

since we had a snow/ice storm this week i wasnt too concerned about driving the evo becuz i know ima be a lil hesitant about driving it on these jacked up streets, lol, but i still wanted the tags anyway!

when i came home from work today i said to myself"my tags better b here"! when i walked into the back door i saw on the dining room table a long envelope. i then said "that better b my tags"! i went dowstairs to take off my work gear then went back uo stairs. i looked on the table to c that the envelope had my name on it and i picked it up. at this point i was excited cuz i knew they were my tags!!!!!!!!! the funny thing about the whole thing is that my temp tags expired todaylmao!!!! so ima put the tags on tomorrow if i can get the rest of the snow and ice melted off.

my only problem is now that i have the tags i have to put one in the front cuz in MD the tags have to be displayed on the front and rear of cars!but i dotn wanna screw that tag bracket on the bumper! i dotn wanna screw anything into the coola** bumper!, what should i do? the X looks gr8 w/o the bracket!

whatever happens ima go to MVA and fill out a order for my personal plates, i already know what ima put on them!, its goona be hot!

Wink

Leave the front plate off. I did and it's not been a problem with the police here in Illinois.

Get some mini suction cups from a hardware store and j-hooks. I put mine in the lower passenger side window for OH.

here's my How-to DIY thread for mounting the License plate without drilling your bumper.
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...ng-bumper.html

I live in Chicago and I believe it's against Illinois law to not have a front license plate. Just watchout when you drive into the burbs, down in the city no cops gives a **** they are lazy.
