First Lancer/EVO
I went to the Mitsubishi dealer yesterday and drove some of his Lancers he had in stock. After reading some articles about the different packages offered on the 09 models I decided to stick with the GTS or Ralliart. I just cannot afford an already done Evo at the moment. However before I buy a GTS I had a few questions.
1) Why was the GTS fitted with the 2.4L
2) Will I be sorry I didnt get AWD vs 2WD later?
3) I am planning on doing alot of work to the car (suspension, engine components, turbo kit) and since the Evo has the 2.0L why didnt they use the 2.4L and should I go with the 2.0L engine?
Thanks... I hope someone can understand what I am trying to say.

08 gts has the 2.0 different engine from orginal evo of course but when i got mine brand new back in 08. a gts is like 25k dude why cant your get a 03-06 evo. I have both a evo and lancer. the lancer is a good family car nice and easy drive the evo can be both. if your gonna upgrade all that stuff why not get a baser model lancer and save some cash and a monthly note cause your gonna upgrade it anyways. I hope you plan on not having warranty the second you change something voided. you might want to actually look into the cost of a turbo for these cars and how much to install it and TUNE it take all that into consideration before you hope into this and see how much its gonna cost and wish your did not.

the lancer is an economy car whereas the evo is a race/rally car hence the AWD, performance parts and numbers. the 2.0 L is because the evo wants to stay in its roots where only 2.0L is allowed. all of this can be answered if you look and research the history of the evo.
