hmm. I test drove an STi yesterday. 60K. This car I had to overcompensate the steering because it didnt like to drive a straight line. When I did a u turn, I heard a nasty noise -not a power steering belt slipping either -i dont know wtf it was but it didnt sound good. Then every time I took off, there was a clunk which I supposed is a worn drive train. The mitsu drives better than the 2 bmws i drove, but the bmw 330xi actually had another year left on the warranty.

****. lol I told this guy a thousand times his car was worth 17 and i would go max 18. Nothin. He asked me to leave. I dont think I would be able to make it down to cali allthough I am from san jose.
I have a 2 year old daughter and her mom probably would trip if I brought up driving somewhere for a car. I have even seen some cheaper evos about a 110 miles away in washington, but between work and the kid, I don't know if I am going to be able to do it. hmm
I think I will do one more test drive to double check that it was a nice as I remember. The STi was a mess! I know how to work on inline motors but that was to the extent of hondas -never anything as complex as these evos. That is one scary thing. When something goes wrong - i dont know these cars and im kind of stuck with bringing it to a mechanic or something. It took me about 10 hours (im slow) to change a clutch on my integra last month. On this car - i have noooo idea if its even possible without a lift and all kinds of crazy tools haha.
If I think the car is pretty solid, i might take it - but i have left his dealership 3 times, and I only got him down to 19000.

okokok.. u guys convinced me. I called him up and told him 18500 and he said somone is going to trade in an FJ cruiser for it tomorrow. HAHA. bs. i said sure. if its still sitting there, give me a call at the end of the week and I can come in next sat and take it off your hands for 18.5.
Carr automotive has an 06 evo with 25800 miles. they are asking 28. hah wtf is wrong with people? does it come with a free ******* or what? damn im sick of this **** where they jack the price sky high. Im going to tell them im buying today and I have a car in mind allready, but i will sign for that one for 19000. Then maybe they go up to 22. thats still over my budget ****. but if i test drive it and its reliable, maybe its ok.

there is no vin. im waiting for the dealer to get back to me on it. Mr JakeQ... do u have a subscription to that autocheck? If u felt like it, when I get the vin, would u check it? =)
How far down do u think I can actually drop that price? I think at 20K they will tell me to take a hike. But thats as far as I can responsibly go. At 22k im making some pretty big payments. =) but at least i know it has half as many miles. And its performance is superior. Anyone have negative experiences with 06s? I know they are much more complex with vvt etc.
ok never mind all that. They just told me they sold it
