Have you EVO owners ever considered a new STi (08+)?

No, I wouldn't. I love my IX to death. I could have bought a brand new hatchback STI but I got a 2nd hand IX instead. A lot of people compliment me on the way it looks. I've even had security guards at parking lots saying the car looks fast and mean!

The STi and the Impreza have grown to looking like Hyundai's used to, fugly. I love the '05 STi, but the EVO has a special character all it's own with just enough of the '90s European styling (angular) to compliment its funky Japanese proportions.

Apparently you've never modified an STi or you would realize why this would be one of the worst decisions you could possibly make. If I didn't work on cars and never had the intention of modding I would get an STi but it's just not for me...I'm trying to talk my girlfriend into one on the other hand.
For Auto-X though...It may be considered, I mean considering you can fit 275's under the '09s with a slight roll to the rear fenders that is a big plus.

Having just bough and EVO X MR after looking at both the STI and the EVO, and having always been a fan of both, I would have to say no. Between the GSR and the STI I would take the GSR because if you wanted a better car for DD buy a prius. Secondly the SST provides the driving experince I want (in Sport or S-Sport mode) with the ability for those who don't know how to drive a stick (wife "cough, cough") to get into AX and track circuits without having to worry about learning how to gear shift too. When the wife can race too it makes the added expense of track day fees, brakes and tires more easy to justify.
