Have you EVO owners ever considered a new STi (08+)?

I was wondering if and why any of you here considered getting rid of your EVO, not for an X but for a 2008+ STi.

I love the look of the X but honestly, I like the interior of the VIII and X much better. It may be rental car but it's simple and pretty solid vs. the new one which seems to bark bigger than its bite with a flashier look with more squeaks and cheap plastic. My friend just got a new Lancer GSR and when I played with the climate knobs I felt like I was going to break the ****.

Not a big fan of how either of the new models look.

I'll stick with the 9 and it's previous family members

The only thing I really like the about the Sti is the trunk space and 6 speed manual. I have to say Subaru's 6 speed feels butter smooth and much better than mitsu's 6 speed. Other than that... umm... damn. it feels cheap inside and a lot worse than evo x. Source: experience of almost being an owner of Sti because of the price.

I had an 04 STi before but now I got a 500 whp Evo 8. Still misses the broad midrange torque of the Sti but moreover is the exhaust rumble. Evos are fun once you hit full boost but I prefer the STi for DD.

the GR STI(08+) is a much better car for everyday driving. i would have bought one if it came with a DSG transmission like my MR has. the evo is better for performance, but its build quality is far from that of the subaru. especially the interior, well minus the front seats. the engine of the STI is so much better sounding, the entire car is more practical, i could go on...
