im sure your referring to the evo IX ..... and 99.9% yes.....
parts different
-jdm has AYC, ours does not
-jdm has different climate controls than ours and are not compatable
-jdm IX had a different rear bumper and bumper cover... the cover fits our IX's but will not clear our larger crashbeams, it will either have to be modified, taken off (not recommended), or getting your hands on the jdm crash beam
everything else is the same to my knowledge (besides the obvious like different reading on instrument cluster and whatnot)

A bit off topic sorry:
We don't have the Anti Lag system in the U.S.? Not to be confused with Launch control/2 step, I know alot of people get them confused.
That's the what they generally enable on rally cars, and you hear the cars back firing when they let off the gas, to keep the turbo spooled correct? From what I understand The anti-lag ignites the fuel with the exhaust valve open (retards the ignition) so that the motor dosen't have a power stroke, but still burns the air and fuel thus spooling the turbo, inbetween shifts, or while slowing for a turn, right?
I wanted to enable mine LOL! Is there additional hardware, or is that something that the AEM EMS, may have and allow you to enable it with a switch? It would be funny in traffic or through tunnels!! not for every day driving though.

check the SAS hardware thread, it can be added to your ECU but you need to hardware or Secondary Air System.
i am actually gonna remove and sell my anti lag hardware...no use for it here.

would it fit on a modified EVO? Nothing is stock on mine, so if I were to find it off another car would it possibly work/fit on mine? So your's works all the time or you can turn it on and off?
I want it! it's so fun sounding. I watched maybe 20 youtube videos of all types of cars with it it's just so funny how they were spooking the crap out of people!
P.S. Do you have a link to the SAS Hardware thread!

not worth going through the trouble for it the anitlag system
its not that serious. Some people just remove it when going for high hp
ive driven a USDM evo and i have mine
there is barely a difference. you just hit boosy slightly quicker after shifting.
its not worth it to source all the mechanical components then go crazy tuning the ECU for it.
its not even small things you have to source.
stuff like an intake manifold would be annoing to find. there is a small hose that goes from the intake manifold to the antilag solenoid that regulates the air
couple other things JDM evos have is the power folding mirrors
all four windows being automatic (up and down)
all evos 7-9 have ACD and intercooler sprayer
etc.
