Yes you can but like 99% of us EVO owners, you wouldn't do that anyways just because we love our cars that much. But Apagan is 100% correct (thanks for chiming in by the way).

Not sure why, but turbo cars seem to blacken oil quicker than most. It could be the high temps in the turbo, or possibly a lack of proper filtration (and the extra air 
).
After a few oil change cycles, you should notice the oil staying cleaner. I use mobil 1, it becomes dark brown after a short time, but not black.

AMSOIL together with oil analysis labs did the test and concluded that this oil you are reffering to wil last 35,000K under normal driving and 17k under severe.
the labs dont lie i dont care what is said, labd dont lie they give you results whether we like it or not,,, it is what it is

Well the entire 3000 miles oil change interval is obnoxious to begin with. Many people including myself have sent oil for testing and it's perfectly healthy after 10,000 miles. There are IS250/350 owners who have changed at the 17K miles mark as well.
Look at it like this, when BMW was not covering maintenance with every car sale their suggested interval was 3-5K like most manufacturers but once that changed it magically became 15K.
I think changing synthetic oil in your average car at 3K is a total waste of money.

dealers want to still be able to change your oil at 3,000 why because they will see you every 3 months for an oil change and they will stick you up with many other things that they will tell you in wrong with your car,,,,, so they are hoping you bring the car to them so they can tell you your brakes are bad ,,, and guess what an oil change just turnned into a 400.00$ job

Yeah. Any SYN oil that you will run will pretty much gurantee you about 5000 miles easily most go way way way past that. But I would not push any oil without a oil analysis and how that oil behaves in your car. Each car is a bit different, especially with turbo cars since they burn a bit more oil than a standard car.
I been running M1 EP but no oil burn off. I know it will go 5000 miles plus, easily probably to 7500 miles between changes.
