I don't see a problem with getting a kid an Evo IX MR or whatever trim he's going to get. That is if he has some karting, track, or prior driving experience. It also depends on his upbringing and current responsibility level. Though my first car was not very nice I did end up getting a rather nice/fast car before I graduated from high school.

I doubt it, lol, those kind of people have been doing things like that since the age of 6.
Anyways, all in all, buy a cheap beater for now, sit your parents down, and show them that you want them to trust you, that you don't need an evo, tell them you want seat time, and that its best that if they love you to buy you a reasonable vehicle for now. It will show them how responsible you can be.

you obviously dont know much about SRT4's.
i agree.
no one can handle that power.
english only please.
It was either an SRT-4 or the Evo...the choice was obvious. So I took the SRT-4 and drove it man. I ended up selling it to NASA, and a few years later, we had new more efficient ways to get into space. the way I see it, if this guy gets an evo, it's okay, but if he gets an SRT-4, we're going to have to find him and destroy it. It's just too much power for one person.

He can get an SRT-4 if he wants. All he needs to do is disable the flux capacitor, disconnect the EGR valve and remove all tires. It will still have about 300 more HP than the Evo, but a lot slower than a stock SRT-4
