if u want something fun, easy to work on and AWD turbo to get ur feet wet in the mean time, pick up a DSM, youll be a full on mechanic in no time, lol
but seriously, its not a bad idea, both 4g63, both awd turbo and both fun as hell. and if u break the dsm, parts are generally pretty cheap so its a good platform to "learn" what ur doing. a lot of that knowledge carries over.

I don't see how STi's are nicer. Subaru owners seem to justify that claim based on a more upscale center console and cluster, otherwise both interiors are dirt cheap.

I concur. Save money. No STI. No Lancer. DSM - maybe.

Ha I can't help but spend money on it... Talking to RRM about taking their kit... Idk I know it won't be super fast but it'll be faster than what I got... We'll see I really like just working on it! It's fun so idk I'll get my evo eventually. I'm not to worried about it, may be a waste of money now, but it's all about what you enjoy. I enjoy modding... No crazy plans though! Prolly stop at a stage one if I ever do boost it.. I think I'd enjoy the extra hp
