That's what I wondering. I think he needs to ask what he intends to do with the car first before listing those mods. Do you even know what kind of octane gas you are putting in the car?

yes i guess listing plans wouldent be a bad idea. I want an equal mix of power and handling. Will prolly AutoX the once in awhile and maybe track it rarely. Other than that it will be my daily drive (i only drive it sometimes but for the sake of argument lets say daily driver). I want all the HP i can get without making the car un-drivable on the street. I also do not wanna break a ton of stuff every time i take it out lol. As for handling i want the best handling possible with out scrubbing tires off in 6,000miles and again still have it be street able. So the key here is STREET CAR with all mods possible but still keeping it a STREET CAR! Noise doesent really bother me and neither does ride comfort. But i dont want a race car all i want is a fast good handling street car. i belive the list is pretty complete but let me know what you think. I will also fix the numbers (they were there for stages but it was originally a excell document so it was easier to read)

I didn't even read through all your details. Would've rather have wanted to hear your goals.

i wanted to keep ALL the stock internals! The only reason head studs are on the list is cause at 30psi i dont wanna stretch the stock ones! Cams might come but if i can get 500hp at a reasonable RPM i dont see the point. Also i am in NY and am worried about inspection. Will i pass? (pretty much what i am asking is can the AEM EMS pass NY state inspection?) And even if that does will i have problems with any of the other listed parts. I did read the AEM EMS fourm and it seems like alot of people here cant pass inspections with it but i read else ware and they said no problem.

the IX ecu will hold as much power as the stock internals will hold and it will get you to pass NYS inspection so you dont need AEM EMS yet, you dont need the cam gears, stock are fine, pick up a set of cosworth M2's or cosworth M3' with stock gears, and the beehive valvetrain set... the stock belts are fine, the stock fuel rail is good for way more power than your stock internals will hold, go to ETS for your FMIC and turbo kit with hardpipes, they make alot of the stuff you listed, and get a ported intake mani and throttle body, get rid of the 6speed tranny in favor of a built 5 speed, like a shep tranny or bushwacker, everything else is fine....

to be honest it just looks like you went on buschur and AMS's web site and just wrote down all the stuff they have for sale... if your located in NY i suggest bringing the evo to a local shop, such as top level, and just giving them a description of what you want, they will deliver exactly what you want and need, and nothing you dont need, they wont BS you, and you will be happy with what you get in the end result, and if you want to autox, than max out the stock turbo with meth and headwork, and full suspension and chassis work... that will get you just as far as the GT30R, the stock turbo will make well into the low 400whp range and the power will come on as quick as you need it... hope that helps

Well First off, Scarface2jz. Thanks for the good info. Do you have an e-mail i could correspond with you through or even better yet an AIM?

I have decided to prolly stick with the stock ECU but one reason i would still like to change is so i can run Air Density instead of MAF. I do not know if this is possible with the stock ECU tho. The reson for this is so the car doesent have stalling issues when running a VTA BOV.

The cam gears were pretty much just for show and the reason i dident add cams on the list was because my original plan was to keep all stock internals. Will the CAMs give me alot more low end power? What are the KEY advantages?

And again the belts and fuel rail pretty much just for show but possible supporting mods for later down the road.

I was planing on keeping the 6-speed just because it is what i have and is what i wanted when i bought the car. Also this car will never see the strip so i dont think it will ever be a problem but if it is i will crest that hill when i get to it!

Also the reason i dident just bring it to a local shop is because i want to do most if not all the work myself.

What will the spool times on the stock vs GT30R be?

What suspension do you think is best? (even tho it might seem i just picked JRZ because that is what AMS now sells that is not the case. I did look around at a few different ones and found that JRZ background is quite good in the racing world)

One last thing for this post is you recommend to run meth. The reason this is also not on the list is because i have read quite a few reviews that it is just a pain! Also how much is meth? And can you run STRAIGHT watter?

Thanks, Trever
