2.3 isn't just bored you're looking at a stroker kit.

 

Did anyone you know/trust see it in person that has an understanding of buying used cars? You mentioned your pops and he said it pulls hard, but did he get up in the hood/under the car, etc.? Would he know what to look for? Seems like a good price (too good?) for a modified Evo with low miles and a clean record. Come back safe and let us know if it works out!

I've seen people blow a wad on worse ideas! Good to hear about your dad - I was picturing a "kick the tires" and "see how hard she pulls" kinda guy!
