To Buy Or Not To Buy An EVO X, That Is My Question...

I currently have a 2003 Mini Cooper S with 109K and a 2003 Mustang Cobra with 36K. I was thinking of selling both and just purchasing an EVO X. I do drive an average of 22-25K a year as of right now anyway. I do realize this is an EVO forum lol, but you group of guys/girls seems to give good advice so let's hear it.

I am not going to sell the Cobra and buy an EVO, that is NOT an option. I would have to sell both to buy the EVO.

Give me some feedback.

If you read my initial post I stated that is not an option.

Cobra already has 508rwhp and 532rwtq on straight 93 octane. She runs well.

It's definitely a fun ride. But I can only drive it on nice days as the 315/35/17 Mickey Thompson ET Streets don't do well in anything under 50 degrees and I would not even dare to drive on them on a damp road let alone rain.

The Mini being that it has 109K I am worried as to the costful repairs that are in the future. It is Nice having a warranty a back seat where people can actually fit. Wish the X had a bigger trunk.

if you keep the car bone stock i'm sure they won't give you crap at the dealership for warranty work. but in your case, keep the 2 cars. it's a buyers market, so selling your 2 cars won't make any sense to pickup a new car that doesn't have the incentives it once had.

Sure, a new evo should be nice for the first couple of years as any newer car would, but since you stated that you drive more than 20k miles a year, I'd have to recommend against it due to operating costs. Your operating costs on an evo at 25k miles per year might be enough for a new mini payment. Certainly you could easily buy a Kia with what it would cost to run an evo for 4 years. Tire, brakes and gas is no joke. Don't let the subtle 4 cylinder lancer look fool you.

trading in two cars for one is not smart unless your having issues with them and just want to get from under them. Then i can see why.
