Its the right can, was it sealed when you opened it? $26!!!! Where did you buy it??? thats a deal, normanlly runs around $100. I have been using the Mopar Fluid for 30K miles with no problems. Its a synthetic 75/85 GL4 and I get it for $20 a quart. Since you need about 2.2 quarts its still chearp to buy it by the bottle rather than a gal. Funny how Mits has it in a gal jug when you need more than 2 qts per change. To each their own. I am running MT-90 in my Tranny now and don't like it. I will be changing the fluid again soon......

I got it from the mitsubishi dealership (Arnold Mitsubishi). I called them on the phone (their parts dept) and asked if they had any in stock, the guy put me on hold (went to check...) and came back and said they have one in stock and it's the last one. I asked how much it is, he said $26. I said "a quart" he said " no it's 4 liters". It seemed too good to be true, so why not. They did not tell me it was ever opened. I was at work, so my brother went to pick it up. When i got home, i checked it out and noticed it was not full, so I got a little worried.
I don't really trust them.

wtf do you mean. They know they sold him an opened/used container, otherwise it wouldn't have been so cheap. If they wouldn't stand by what they sold you OP, I would suggest not putting it in. Not worth it, IMO. Your other option, roll the dice and take a chance with your tranny.

Makes no sense how people are getting the Dia Queen Fluid in 2 or 3 qt quantities when its only sold through in a Gallon Jug. So Im not sure what is going on there. I have been experimenting with my MR on different oil types. The Mopar Fluid works GREAT and runs about $20-$25 a qt. I used Redline MT-90 and it sucked bad. Cold shifts grinding for about the first 10-15 miles till the fluid warmed up. May be a good track fluid to use in the 6spd but not for a DD. Next up I may try Amsoil fluid they have that is a replacement for the 75/85 GL-4. But if you cant afford the Dia-queen you wont be dissapointed in the Mopar Fluid. I have runned that fluid for over 30K miles and shifts as good as the Dia queen, and that is with over 100 dyno pulls on my car.

i also have an MR and tried the Redline MT90 trans fluid. No good for daily driving...especially in cold weather areas. slight grinds and rough shifting from 1-2-3 until 15 minutes later as it warms up. *as you stated*
i switched back to the OEM mitsu 75/85 diaqueen and it got a little better...recently i did a clutch swap and replaced the trans with AMSOIL MTG fluid. So far the best decision ive made. got rid of almost all the cold morning grinds/rough shifting.

I am like totally puzzled when people say they can buy the 75/85 Dia Queen "by the quart from their dealer" NO WHERE in Southern Californa do they sell this fluid by the quart. NOWHERE. Its either a new container or you have the work done at the dealer. For me, the Mopar Fluid Part #4874459 or GM part #12346190 works excellent. Runs around $20-$25 a qt. As posted above the Redline Fluid MT-90 may be nice on a track for for daily driving or in cool or cold climate it sucks big time. Unless you like the sound of grinding for 10 miles. The Amsoil Fluid I am going to try for my tranny. Anyway folks, you really would't think their would be a big difference between 75/85 and 75/90 for the 6spd but its a night and day difference. At least from my tests.
