A question I have...

Hi. I was wondering if i could run, "Safely" without a tune with just a turboback; test pipe? I know that it's best to be tuned, but I'm on a short budget right now and I can't get find any tuners in my area. Let me know with what you have. Thanks!

My car has never got a tune until, hopefully tomorrow.

I just put in the Kelford 272's and it won't idle for sh*t.

Before that I was just running with base flash.

The previous owner modded it without a flash, and I never really get on it.

I would say you would need a flash for cat replacement though. CEL would prob pop up.

Cams are something you need tuned for sure or you will have drivability issues. CEL will pop up for sure if your O2 sensor is working, without the cat the CEL better appear or your sensor went bad. Just do the spark plug gap fix and space it out and the CEL will disappear. You will be fine with a test pipe or HFC without a tune. It will just help the spool up of the turbo a little better and you might lean out a little at the beginning of the power band, but nothing the the extent of being dangerous for the motor...
