sorry, why spend the $1000 in the motor, then the motor swap, not to mention the tranny. Its retarded there is no real HP gain for the $ spent. I would guess $5000 at least for parts, with that you could easily use that for a nice used turbo up grade and supporting mods. lol

I know you guys push the limits down in PR but wow what kind of failures occurred to go through 3 engines and now on to the 4th?
Any insight on what is/was happening and how to avoid it?
As for swapping a a 4B11 with a 4G63 I think you can do great with either unless you are pushing the engine past 800 crank HP and want something that has had more development time. For the VAST majority of people that are staying under 600 crank HP I think the 4B11 is the much easier route although both engines have proven their performance potential.

i haven't done any kind of research on this but I have always contemplated about a 4b11 or a 4b12 in a base 02-06 Base lancer or hell even a mirage considering mounting points between those models are the same. I am aware the motors are inverted but how do the Honda guys do it with their K20/K24 swaps? Those motors are backwards and fly by wire as well and they have been able to swap those motors into old CRX's.
Anyone willing to do the research? I don't have any resources to do that but I would love to see something like this happen...it would be a nice alternative to motor swaps for the base model lancers.
Imagine a 4b12 2.4L DOHC MIVEC in a light weight mirage coupe? that would be pretty cool.
