4b11 <----> 4g63

as the turbo is one the rear of the 4b11 and hangs on the front of the the 4g63, this wouldn't be a straight forward swap, sorry, but I'd say stupid question, imo the 4b11t is the better engine.....waits for the flames.........

no flames. I would put the 4B11T in the CT9A, only reason is; simply because it is lighter and better weight distribution since the turbo is on the other side, so closer to the CG of the car.. If you want to be real serious building a strictly race car. ANd you lost all the weight already.
Thats all.
No other reason. The same reason i wouldn't put the 4G63T in the X , because it is the opposite.
Besides the fact the engine swap is really not worth the hassle at all, in both case.

Any insight on what is/was happening and how to avoid it?
As for swapping a a 4B11 with a 4G63 I think you can do great with either unless you are pushing the engine past 800 crank HP and want something that has had more development time. For the VAST majority of people that are staying under 600 crank HP I think the 4B11 is the much easier route although both engines have proven their performance potential.

I know you guys push the limits down in PR but wow what kind of failures occurred to go through 3 engines and now on to the 4th?
Any insight on what is/was happening and how to avoid it?
