How much boost do you run just around town?

You probably are right... i might be overly cautious but i wonder whos is going to last and run better for longer, and i like really nice things that are not beat up. Not saying yours are but a 91 crx si is fast enough for me and so is my evo on 12 lbs. IMO

Having our car logged and logging it, yourself, aren't nearly the same thing, if only due to the dispersion of data. I'm actually rather surprised by your reliance on someone else's expertise, without taking the time to understand exactly what's involved. I saw you talking about VDR in another thread. You didn't call it that, because you didn't know what it was. I'm mentioning this to make a point. Before predicting whose car is going to last and whose won't, you may want to familiarize yourself with the process, just as the part in bold (quoted above) points to the same thing. Good luck.

They will last the exact same. If any I would be surprised if yours lasts as long as a pure stock Evo running stock boost. It was designed like that for a reason, it will hold up under stock boost and more. If you prepare for the boost with head studs and don't over rev, keep an eye on the AFR it will be fine. There are many examples of people who have run this for hundreds of thousands of miles and more.

I understand that you want to keep it "nice", but chances are our two cars will last the exact same amount of time, only one of us is getting probably twice the power...
Its a personal choice.
