I vote for an eBay TBE, but there will be lots of people who will say eBay is the devil. It seems to have worked for me and many other people.

Please do not go cheap with your Evo. It is an Evo and is not meant to be pieced together with cheap products. Get products that are good quality like AMS, ETS, Buschur, and much more. Just do some research on here for a little bit and you will find a ton of information. I have the AMS TBE with 3" test pipe and i love the sound. Yes it is pricey but so worth the quality and craftsmanship of their product.

It took me a while and a lot of youtube exhaust video's....

I liked the Apexi N1, but then my friend told me he had an exhaust he used for 5 hours!!! I took the Greddy full titanium cat back from him at $600.

Good luck on your search, it will be fun.

This is a fairly typical comment that you will get when anyone brings up the thought of buying an eBay exhaust. This is an exhaust we are talking about here. It is made of a few flanges, a few pieces of pipe, and a muffler. They are extremely simple and in my opinion it is absolutely ridiculous to shell out $600-$900 for a name brand exhaust when you can make the SAME power for $175 or less from an eBay exhaust. Piping is cheap (just check out summit's website if you don't believe me) and the companies who sell these exhausts mark them up like crazy. I just don't see why you would want to pay $600 or more for some piping, flanges and a few welds.

Now I am not saying that buying a name brand exhaust is stupid. If they were priced the same as my eBay unit I would have one because they are probably built a little better. However, the eBay unit is made pretty well and will suit most people just fine. To me it is all about making as much power for the least amount of $$$, and the eBay exhaust fits that bill.

Ok!! I was actually thinking of a catback. It's jdm spec 3 angle cut . T304 stainless steel very nice. Wanted a turbo back but don't want test pipe due to trying to get inspected. Also thinking of putting in a polished stainless header?
