Ill buy it if u want to sell it
So a local guy totalled his 2003 Evo GSR and is selling it as a parts car. The car only has 23k miles on it. It was all body and wheel damage. Everything else is good. The motor, trans, transfer, suspension, interior, and even his TurboXS intercooler.
He has chosen an exact price, but it wont be anymore then $2k he said. So should I buy it?
Also, I have 2003 Evo GSR too, but it has 93k miles on it. Would it be smarter for me to just sell all his parts or replace my motor and drivetrain with is his and sell my motor and drivetrain?
I am not buying this car to keep. I'm buying it to part out and maybe keep some nice parts for myself.

So i'm 99% going to buy it. I'm not taking dibs yet, unless someone wants to buy the whole car from me already
Otherwise I'm going to buy it, strip it and then post up the parts.

My first reaction was no...just reading the title but after reading -hell yeah I'd do it...I mean if the engine bay was unscratched you'll make out on that plus you'll have a backup tranny & tcase...and with 03's a backup tranny isnt a bad idea. I
I'd say hell yeah go for it...

Ok guys you've completely convinced me to buy it, but now really stuck between swapping motors. I know some of you guys were against it, but it only has 23k miles on it and the guy owner only drove it on weekends and we dont have any tracks around here.

besides the obligatory, "buy it if you want it," statement, here's my opinion:
NO.
totaled cars all have the same story. It's rarely a motor defect, nothings ever wrong with it, and its all body, etc.
Don't be surprised if you buy a wrecked car, and it just stays... wrecked.
