WHat about this!!!!!!!!

http://www.tornadoair.com/index.php

Ok I feel really imbarassed, but someone had to ask. From an aerodynamical point of view it does make a whole lot of sense. Will this mess with the MAF sensor? What do you guys think.

Oh and if it does make sense to you. WHat about putting one in the downpipe?

Please don't call me an idiot. Need some opinions.

if anything i think it would hurt performance as a restriction in the airflow.

"Tornado is a non-moving turbine shaped device, which creates a vortex or swirling effect to the engine. The result is improved airflow into the engine's combustion chamber, causing a more efficient mixture between air and fuel."

If it spins, you will gain air flow just like a turbo but this POS doesnt spin so it's actually blocking some airflow. Do an experiment. Buy that thing if you want and take a hair dryer and see if the air does blow out in a vortex way. Of course not. And sometimes you see those spinning ones on ebay for like 50 bucks; those are spinning at a rate so slow that it would not work. It will need the speed of a turbo. THe Supra Twin Turbos have their turbos line in a linear way which will help.
