Please help me make my dream come true! Evo X drag project!

Hi all!

I have EVO X RS. I want to achieve 700-800WHP and low 10 second on drag strip.

Current situation is:

1. AMS Evolution X Crate motor:
· AMS Ductile Iron Sleeved Stage 2 short block (2.2L)
· JE skirt coated pistons
· Manly I beam turbo tuff rods
· ARP Main and Head studs
· Cosworth CNC cylinder head
· Kelford stage 2
· Motor polyurethane mount (3)

2. Turbokit - didn't decide yet

3. Intake, exhaust:
· AMS EVO X Resonated Test pipe section
· AMS EVO X Racing Series 3" Catback Exhaust Single Tip
· AMS EVO X Front Mount intercooler
· AMS EVO X Upper Intercooler Pipe/Hot Pipe
· AMS EVO X Lower IC Pipe Kit polished w/ TiAL QR Blow Off

4. Cooling:
· Mishimoto Radiator
· AMS EVO X Black Complete Radiator hose kit
· Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X Racing Thermostat

5. Fuel system:
· Magna Fuel MP-4815 In-line pump kit 800HP+
· Boomba racing fuel rail 8AN
· Summit racing 5 gallons drag fuel cell
· Injector Dynamics 2000cc
· Summit racing fuel pressure guage
· Summit racing 6AN, 8AN hoses
· Fuel pump relay

6. Drive train:
· Carbonetics triple clutch
· AMS EVO X Clutch Master Cylinder Reinforcement Ring
· AMS clutch line
· TWM short shifter
· Samsonas dog box (final drive 4.1 with 13/54 teeth)

7. Electric:
· AMS EVO X Small Battery Kit
· Perrin 3-ports boost solenoid
· AEM Uego Sensor
· AEM Analog Boost Guage
· AEM Analog 0-980C EGT Gauge
· Autometer Ultra-lite pro comp II Tachometer 11000 Rpm

8. Exterior/interior:
· Rexpeed R-Style Carbon Ducts Evo X
· Rexpeed Carbon Bumper Cover
· Rexpeed R-Style Carbon Splitter
· Rexpeed Non SSS Carbon Vortex Generator
· Rexpeed LHD Double Pod
· Extreme Dimensions CT concept carbon hood
· D-speed do-luck style carbon trunk
· APR Formula 3 Carbon Fiber Mirror

9. Other:
· Cusco 10-point Safety 21 roll cage
· Sparco seats
· Sparco harness
· Rays RE30 wheels
· Tein SS coilovers
· Simpson Bandit helmet

Please help me to achieve my purpose:
· Have I missed something? Which parts must add?
· What PnP ECU do you recommend in my case? Autronic is good?
· Which sensors do I need?
· What fuel system do you recomend? MagnaFuel is good company? 8AN is enough?
· Should I delete A/C?

Any recommendations will be helpful.

If this is going to be a track only car get rid of AC. Here is a link that has the weight of pretty much all the parts. What fuel are you going to be using E85 or C16? For engine management I would go with a Halltech stand alone and convert to SD it's going to be more work and pricier but it will give you more control. Personally I would get rid of the asthetic Rexspeed bits and start going carbon fiber body panels (hood, trunk, fenders, and doors) along with lexan windows. A carbon fiber trunk and hood will save you about 20lbs. and that isn' t including the weight of the wing. But all this is assuming you are a track only car.

Thank you waltezee!

Car will be not only for track, but also for weekend fun on the street.
I would like to use 2 maps: 98RON (street) & 116RON (dragstrip) gasoline.
Weight reduction will be the next step (carbon parts), as i'm limited in money.
Where is no PnP Haltech ECU yet.

Ideally I want car like Buschur DD 9 sec ))

Weight and final drive upgrade will be the keys to making an Evo X run 9's.

3.7 final drive may be too tall. We ran a 3.73? in the drag car around 2005 and it was just too much. A 4.11 final is perfect.

They're working on a patch loom I thought it was already released I guess I was wrong. The Autotronic looks like a good unit but I can't really give to much insight into what's capable of since there website is being updated. If it will allow you to go SD then by all means use it. I've worked with the Haltech unit a little bit and seen what it was able to do that's why I recommended it to you. As for the weight reduction get some dry ice and get a jump on it. As for fuel 8AN feed and return will work. What pump are you going to be using? Personally I would go with a dual Bosch 044 in tank setup with the pumps set up to run in parallel but that is my personal preference. Magnafuel makes good products just make sure you get quality SS braided hoses and connectors. What setup were you thinking about using?

Thank you Eric! Your recomendation is very important! Will buy 4.11 final drive.

Have a question about turbo kit. Will AMS EVO X Lower IC Pipe Kit w/ TiAL QR Blow Off exactly fit to your turbo kit?

If that CMC doesn't hold up, look into converting to an VIII/IX or full replacement from SSP.

Ralliart makes a replacement CMC but with shipping, exchange rate, expense of JDM parts, etc... it ends up being very pricey.

That kit looks like it will be more than capable of handling what you want. Like I said earlier though make sure you use good quality AN fittings and hoses. If I remember correctly the stuff Goodyear was putting out a year or so ago had a different pitch on the threads of there fastener than what most companies use and it was causing leaks when fittings were mismatched (aeroquip, etc...->goodyear).

if you are looking for 700-800 whp the stock ecu will handle that

Ryan gates ( Blacktrack ) recently made 727 whp on the stock ecu with 2000CC injectors plus all the other AMS goodies.

to be honest with you and your build.... why not just talk to AMS directly and give us pictures to fap over later. AMS has more than enough knowledge and they are more than willing to share that wealth of knowledge with someone paying their wages.

Thank you! Will consider fittings and hoses issue during installation work.

Yes, AMS is best of the best company . But...
First of all, before ask them noob questions I want to know myself what I'm talking about
Secondly, AMS sells me not whole project but only parts. So I'm flexible in the choice.
At last, I'm from far away Kazakhstan, who will care about such little market and such enthusiastic project as main?

What's why I ask community to help me understand how to achieve my purpose. Learning process is an interesting thing. Also, process of modifying is very fascinating. Somebody likes to buy turn-key solution. I'm loving my EVO and want to make it fast as possible. If I add to the car some part I want to know how it works and why it is better or worse than others.
