I'm currently running the Buschur Cast GT3065 kit and make over 400whp at 25 psi with LOTS of room to grow. I'm pulling the whole kit off soon to go with something much bigger. Lag isn't awful but it definitely more than the stock frame turbos. As for making over 400 with the FP Red, there is a guy on here Detroit pistins (Ali) that has a stock bottom end, cams and a Red with supporting mods and tuned by Jason@Spec-Ops to over 425whp and 390ft/lbs (VDR numbers) on 93 pump from a local station in fayetteville. Also BJ made over 430 on a Mustang dyno with his and a quick, safe tune.

Stock like Turbos will be you best bet with you what you want to accomplish. FP's, or even BBK's are good.

You really should take to your installer/tuner. They can look at your current setup, your budget, and your goals, and give you the best advice on what to do. Or search the power bragging rights threads for a dyno graph you like and follow the mod path listed in that thread. There are too much factors to determine "I want X whp". You can get there with several different turbos, some with and some without supporting mods, some with serious lag, some with very little, some on pump gas, some on E85, etc..." Talk to your tuner...their experiences provide them first-hand data.

On my previous Evo I had an fp green on 91 octane and wasn't impressed with my results after a lot of tinkering. My current Evo 8 just has a ported 9 turbo (and supporting mods) but I'm running E85 and love it. For like half the cost I have more power and the car feels amazing...pretty much just by using different fuel.

to run e85 you need big injectors LOL like 1000cc and up. You also need a double pumper fuel pump. your in TN the best tuner for you is Mellon tuning. keep it simple if you want 450 consistantly and not straining the turbo get a fp red. if you want fast spool getting your 450 your only options are bbk or HTA Green. Now if you EVER EVER EVER plan on getting more then 450 and not straining the turbo Fp black. Its as simple as that. If you plan on 700+ whp then HTA35r is your ticket pretty much the break down. Make sure you do all your basic mods first or the turbo is not going to do anything for you period.

Do some research man. Maybe learn the limits of your car while searching this forum on which route to take with your modding. I recommend starting with the modding for dummies thread. GOOD LUCK.

Tizart69 check out our staged upgrades, they'll give you an idea of what to expect and what parts you'll need to get started: Mellon Tuning EVO 8/9 Staged upgrades *click me*

If you're looking for 400-450awhp on pump gas, the FP Red or FP Black would be perfect, if you want to get in to the 475-525awhp area, a 35r kit would be the one.

with my bbk full i have no issues with lag. and with my setup i still have room to grow. with the setup that i have now i put out 349 hp/ 355 tq on a mustang dyno. i have very few mods. also i'm in denver, so my numbers is less compared to what i can get if i go to california.
I would suggest FIC 1200 if you want to convert to e-85. that will definately give you plenty of room to grow.
