rear disc conversin on lancer

Just wanted to know two things. Has anyone done a rear disc conversion for their OZ Lancers yet, as those rear drums suck. And the other question has anyone installed aftermarkert brakes,I have been thinking of getting some brembo brakes. What Should I do

RMR has a big brake upgrade but you need at leaast 17's...and I think someone has put Mirage rear disks on their lancer but was all custom...can't remember who it was though.
I know your not alone...myself and many many more want rear disks

difference between drum and disk? i'll break it down really simple for you:

drum=waste of metal
disk=saves yer life against the dumbass soccer mom who wants cutu off in her 5 ton too large suv in front of u

2 disk = good
4 disk = better

are you that aggravated with the lancers braking, gets some good pads and slotted rotors, and if you really want, go the cross drilled upgrade at RMR, other than that your wasting your money

It says that it fits only on OZ and LS models.. Can someone tell me why it won't fit on an ES?

^ different bolt pattern
OZ/LS - 4x114.3
ES - 4x100

BTW, crossed drilled rotors may not perform as well as the slotted rotors for normal day driving.
Reason? Don't ask me, I forgot why....

and ZooRacer, I don't think it will because the Ralliart has 5 lugs instead of 4

In my honest opinion, if you want the Lancer to stop better, get some grippier tires. If you can lock up the brakes, you have plenty of power. Converting to discs or larger brakes will give you more control over that power, but more power isn't that necessary in improving stopping distance.

Just my opinion, and I'm sure some will disagree, but 4 discs = expensive and 2 discs = enough to stop a <3000 lb car.

cuz theres less surface area on the rotor.. more surface area= better friction= better stoping.... cross drill slotted/ slotted rotor are only good to prevent head fades..and maybe for the look..

i heard the opposite...that slotted wont perform as well on our cars as cross drilled...as i understand it here's the reason: Cross drilled rotors lower the temperature by letting heated gass escape, which cools the pads, preventing them from liquifying in extreme conditions. While slotted rotors provide more grip, this is not necessarily good...our cars are relatively light, and if there is too much said, like urbanknight mentioned above, you'll just lock up the wheels and you're left worse than when you started. my .02...someone correct me if i'm wrong...
