you definately need cams on an 8 to make some power then.... get some kelfords... even with cams added to that u might only be looking at 340-350hp around 24-25psi on 93... what kind of fuel are you runnning?

you will need a fuel pump also, walbro 255... injectors are good, and if your stock clutch is still ok then u should be fine but i would suggest looking into a better clutch like the exedy twin... great clutch that holds alot of power and has almost stock pedal feel...

i only made 330whp on similar mods and 93 octane @ 24lbs on the stock 8 turbo, so with a 20G you should make a lil more

You could make 375 WHP on the stock 9 turbo for sure if you wanted to, it would take some other modding though besides the turbo. But I think that the real main reason why its better is because well its a stock turbo, can't go wrong with that GL.

Have you ever driven an exedy twin or are you just writing because you read nonsense? The pedal on the Exedy Twin is STIFF on the HD version (which everyone gets anyway) and also - the OP said he has 3k saved up to waste. 1500 goes for the clutch, great start there...

To the op:

I suggest you look in to a cheaper turboback exhaust than a full titanium system or for 3k I'd go with the following:

Greddy Comp-Ti (Full 80mm turboback for a very low price and a quality sytem)
Megan o2 housing (or similar cheap o2 housing)
Walbro 255 fuel pump
Lower IC pipe (ETS or something similar that has proven results at a good price)
GSC S1/S2 cams, depends how high you want to go in the future and how lopey your idle can you live with
20g Turbo
Tune

That should leave a small margin in pricing for the future when you actually do kill your clutch (which you should with the new found power). Then look in to a solution that suits your budget. If you want the best of both worlds - holding power and driveability, then yes - the Exedy Twin is your best bet. Otherwise there's solutions that come at a fraction of the cost like the Exedy organic clutch for example that works pretty well if you don't launch the car at all...

Yea so I was going to ask about E85.... Um white evo 27 you dont need cams to make that kind of power. Here is what I have done and my end power result following... 20G used turbo bought off a friend,Injen Hard pipes, Turbo XS FMIC, 3'in TBE, Walboro 255, 1050cc Inj., Hallman MBC set at 24 psi and a tune on E85 and My car is in Colorado at 5500 Ft above Sea level making 380hp and 340 TQ. If I could do it again I would get a IX turbo instead NEW. The guy I bought the 20g off of was making 370 on 93 with more done at sea level on a 4WSlIDE tune.

I DD the Exedy HD everyday. As do many of my friends. ALL of them have a pedal effort very close to stock IMHO. Very, Very, Very streetable. Does cost a pretty penny though. FWIW my ACT HD was noticeably heavier than the exedy. I still liked it though.

What boost are you running to make the 380whp at that altitude?

Sorry for the offtopic but - I'm not saying the Exedy Twin isn't streetable. I had it in my 8, my 9 and I have a brand new one on the shelf waiting to be put in my new 9... My point is that the difference between stock clutch and Exedy twin is HUGE, especially with the HD version. It's stiff enough that there's rare girls that'll drive with the twin so comparing it to stock is still misleading in my oppinion.

Cheers and back on topic!
