Hmmm, maby because they suck?

They have proven to be much weaker at higher power levels than the gsr tranny. I would pay a soild amount of $$$$ to have a solid 6 spd in the X however. I hate 5 speeds.

its because they dont own one, take any car and put 500hp threw it and bash gears, you will have issues...... 60,000 miles not a single issue. factory clutch went at 52,000 miles. 340awhp drives great. make sure you maintain it and dont drive it like its a rental you will be fine.

I loved my six speed. Never one issue, perfect shifts, 370 wtq for 30,000+ miles. I'm sure the current owner is enjoying it just as much.

Now it just seems like personal preference. But you are right, any transmission handling a lot of tq will eventually get weak

Few folks are willing to do the legwork and find the true source of the issue, yet everyone wants to feel like they belong. So, we get one noob after another parroting the same lines until they become ingrained in the culture. Just look at this thread. If you really want to know how the 6-speeds respond, search for the big 6-speed thread and read every post.
