Kelford 280/282's or 280/276's
first i would like to say hello to everyone. I'm kinda of noob and may not be the best at using the search engine, tho i have tried. i saw GST posted a car with the 280/276 set-up using a stock frame turbo but what is the differences in power with a 282 exhaust cam vs 276 i have not seen them compared and is there any machining required when using the kelford 280's at all.

I know that its not recommend but like I said GST put down some pretty good numbers with the CHAD BLOCK turbo 403 on 91 and 455 on e85. I know that it has to he more than a hand full of people who aren't afraid of a little aggressiveness

the 282 exhaust cam is junk thats why they stopped making it. i had it in my car made the turbo spool around 800rpms slower and made no power change up top. i lost 100whp in the mid range also. i took it out and put the 276 in there and it was like a night and day difference. just make sure that the intake cam (280) is a revised one or this might happen.https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...check-out.html

with the 280/282 setup i had just a bolt on 35r kit. the thing was fully spooled by 5200 or something like that with a .63a/r hotside. i changed the cam no change in tune and it was fully spooled by 4500ish if i can remember. your going to need dual valve springs and retainers. no machine work either just drop right in and go. also the kelfords tend to show counts of knock. I personally think the s2 cams are way better.
