That's not feasible. As a one-time agent, I can tell you that you're insuring the car, but pricing the driver. Since marriage combines two people's ownership/property/liabilties together, it's not really a valid thing to say you're not insuring both hubby and wife drivers--legal owners-- of the car.

Ok just to update. I did call esurance and they were very reasonable. they gave me a quote of 252/mo. that' s full coverage on the evo and the minivan (wifey's current car). It's $2 more but with Farmer's, the van didn't have full coverage. They also said that our rates will go down in March after her 2008 accident gets erased. and in May when we hit our 6 months, it will go down again. So I think we will be going with them. Thanks for all your advice.

WHAT?!?!?!? The car is definitely not worth that much. I'm trying to think what kind of car I could afford if I were dumping that much money each month.

Another update... Esurance bumped up their rate on us only 1 day after we signed up with them to 337/mo. So we're staying with Farmer's insurance

Liability only? On a $20,000 car? Aren't you concerned about damage to the car itself? I imagine any financier of your car is

Holy **** and you actually pay that? Sell your car and get a beater with liability only until your rates come down. You are spending 8k a year for insurance, LOL
