5 qrts of oil?

i bought a 5 qt of oil jug for my dads friend to change my oil. i think he put in all 5 is that bad?

You need with filter 5.4Qts of oil. You're perfectly fine. As easy as changing your oil is, you might give it a shot next time and get to know your application. Best of luck.

It only takes around 4.6 quarts with oil filter, but the last oil change I did for some reason took 5quarts I must have drained it fully to the last drop..

my car takes exactly 5 quarts so your prob good, what does the dipstick say?

I suppose I should have stated I do have a greddy oil cooler. Check the dipstick for each application.

According to my amsoil Tech Sheet, its suppose to take 5.7!!

They take ~4.5-5 qts with filter for an oil change. Check your dipstick, it's there for a reason.

thats correct, the 5.7 i said earlier was including the capacity for the oil cooler

You should be fine with 5qt, but always check the dipstick. From what i read on here its not a problem if underfill but its the opposite if overfill
