Take it from a Past 97 N/A Supra Owner don't do it. I traded my 97 for my Evo X. It was the best decision I made. I owned my Supra 2 years and only put 10k miles on it. I never drove it. Go 97 TT 6spd, if your going to to anything. Those are the solid built and fast ones.

 

It'd be like trading a thoroughbred for a healthy mule. +3000 silver. You'd be one unhappy nobleman.

I can't believe anyone would in a million years think about doing this, he should be giving you cash on top. Here in Japan N/A supra are worth like $500-2000 dollar cause no one wants them but silly Americans that are here. I can't understand why anyone would even want a Supra in the first place, they are heavy boats that only go fast in a straight line on the highway. If you would have said C5 corvette I might say go for it. At least the vette can do more that just go fast on the highway.

<grin> You're assuming the cars are bought to be driven. It's a mistake. Folks buy these cars to show-off in a parking lot, to use as a bragging right, to gather some sort of social standing - ie. essentially everything except for the actual act of driving. The performance, itself, doesn't matter, but the idea of it does.

 

Supras will most likely have that wow factor forever. Wait till a TT comes your way.

Eh they are mostly drag and dyno queens here, and thanks to the F&F everyone wants one and sadly someone here in Corpus christi, tx actually made somewhat of a replica of the F&F supra. To the OP good choice, I would have felt you would be losing on the deal IMO....but if it were a NSX Targa and 5spd/6spd I would say go for it, they have not been whored out as much as the supra .
