Im looking at this EVO in my area, and i was wondering if that is too many miles for an 08 on these cars? I wouldn't really think much of it normally, but I don't know much about how these cars hold up over time. He says that he has changed the oil every 3500 miles with Mobile 1 and has done all of the TSBs.

The mods that he has are Eibach springs, Hallman MBC, AEM CAI, Auto meter BG, DTM intercooler, and DTM flashed.

He is asking $21.5k which seems like a good deal considering.

It's relatively high miles but not unheard of. With used Evos it has more to do with how someone drove and maintained the car than anything. If the guy put a bunch of freeway miles on it and didn't beat on it much then it's probably fine.

Is it a GSR? If he has the original clutch on a GSR then he must of been pretty easy on it. These cars tend to go through tires/brakes/clutches every 20k miles if you drive them very hard at all.

 

yea I don't know about the clutch or the tires. I think I am gonna go take a look at it this weekend to actually get to see it. I don't even talk about wanting a car until I see it. But I didn't know that about the clutches and brakes so that is good to know, since that could be an added expense.

 

Figure out when in 08 did he purchase the car.. We're coming up on 2011. So if he purchase the vehicle early 2008, then it's not bad. Seems normal to me.
