Who's daily driving 600+ whp cars?(or close) Come on in

If you want, PM me your number and I'll call you. There has been some great advice in here and really, it all depends on what kind of person you are and your habits. My Evo puts down over 650whp thanks to Buschur Racing. Can it be daily drivable? Yes, thanks to quality parts and a good build. Do I want to daily drive the car? HELL no. Personally, I just worry too much. If you want, I can talk forever about Evos, I love these damn cars despite the high blood pressure it gives me at times lol.

"hmm ok, well like I said I would have Ivey check the tune out.....and whats wrong with daily driving a 600hp car? Hell you could even have a 1,000hp car but if you drive it like a grandma then what's the difference?"- Myevo.
You should find out what rods are actually in it. at those power levels if you just have eagle H-beams for example that might not be the most intelligent set up.

I used to DD my 07 STI with 510 whp, used to DD my X MR with 539 whp, and I'm now DD my GT-R with around 600 whp. I've never had any problems with running that much hp on the street......well, you go through gas and tires much faster, lol.
Two major factors go into it.....1.) Quality build, with Quality parts 2.) Don't beat on your car all the time and it'll actually last.

its a similar type question you ask yourself when you are buying a motorcycle for the first time
should i get a 250 or 600cc?
it only goes as fast as you want it to go.
stay off the throttle and it will be perfect DD
but right now i have a built motor/ tranny/ twin plate clutch and living in the city/ city traffic is a pain in the ***.
forget about parallel parking too lol

600whp daliy driven is the best thing to do with your evo just know the risk you take when you beat on it parts will break but parts will also break on a stock evo just depends on how ya drive it

I just got back from checking out and test driving this car....Friggin monster and very very driveable, could be driven easily and not hit any boost, good for saving gas anyway.
Did a good WOT 3rd gear pull (several actually) and felt like I was on a space ship going into warpspeed. Had an AEM wideband and AFR's was good, although I would still have Ivey check it out.
Only problems I noticed that would be a deal breaker is that when you press in the clutch it makes a sound as if it had a bad throw out bearing (but its not). He said he asked Buschur bout it when he picked the car up and he said it's because it's an Exedy triple disk clutch. Just want to verify if this is a normal sound or BS......?
And yes it is a built long block, basically everything is from Buschur Racing, his Stage 3 head, stage whatever long block he sells, I saw receipts OVER $10k for just the clutch, bushwacker trans, injectors, labor, cams, and a couple other things....Then on top of that also the turbo, shortblock, head, etc was additional to the $10k...The receipts had his name right on it and he showed pics of the car on BR's dyno....The trans and motor still looks brand new and everything matches up. Drivetrain has around 2k miles on it.
Just really want to know about this clutch noise, and there was a slight whine in 1st gear ONLY...I know they have an option for changing the 1st gear to a taller ratio or something so didnt know if that might have had it and affected it.

I did notice some chattering also and got me worried...
After some research on here, the clutch noise and chatter is normal and so is the 1st whine is normal also....

So far all your issues seem normal. I'm at 650+ on my dd plus pushing 38PSI on an 86R with the stock 2.0 using drop in pistons/rods and a stock head with work (along with a bunch of other stuff). I was running meth but at that horsepower it's quite dangerous so I make an hour trek once every 2 weeks for e85. It's very reliable and so so much fun. Very few see it coming...actually so far nobody has...
The triple is very loud, that's what I run...marbles in the tranny they say but I like the sound of it, scares the crap out of people walking by as they stare in amazement how the hunk of loud junk is so fast.

sounds good to me but still would have ivey do a full work up of the car if that checks out just ask him where to sign
