^^^ I too would like to know how many miles you guys are getting out of it. Also, please post what you do with the car (drive it normal, weekend warrior, stoplight racer, etc.)

It would be stupid to daily drive a high hp car like that. You'd just be putting unnecessary wear and tear on parts which are $$$$ to replace. Buy a older civic which are cheap as hell to maintain.

There's no reason why you couldn't DD a 600whp Evo. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if it's not strictly a track/strip car, then what's wrong with putting miles on it? That is, after all, what a car is meant to do... be driven.

OP, keep in mind a built engine with that much power will eat through the bearings a lot quicker than a normal car. I would recommend taking a look at them about every 20-25K miles. With specific upkeep, there is no reason why a built block couldn't handle this.

I'm not saying you can't. Just saying that you would be putting a lot of wear and tear on expensive parts. I daily drove a car with a PPG dogbox in washington dc traffic.

Ha, I bet that was fun.

I hear you on the wear and tear, but I guess it's just personal preference. I'd rather have the car break down after 3 fun years of daily driving, rather than have it never break down but only drive it a couple times a month, if that makes sense. Maybe try and find a happy medium like DD it in spring/summer and store it in Winter?

Yeah that makes sense. I think it's key to have another car though. You can't rely on a 600whp evo for transportation.

I am daily driving a near 1000hp S15 Silvia with a 6spd HKS dog box. It is not as difficult as you would think. The only thing that gets me is my Cams are so big that there is almost zero vacuum for braking in stop and go. To remedy it I put a summit vacuum pump to give me the needed vacuum for braking. Fun none the less

I have a pair of 272 12.0mm lift on both getting the overlap just right is very difficult. Base idle is 1250Rpm :/ but is definitely fun, but eventually it became a hassle so I bought an Evo 5
