I have a Evo 8 I bought new. The car has 58k miles on it and is all stock except for a set of FN01RC 17x9 wheels.

I'd like to lower the car alittle. I like the look of the Tanabe GF210 springs. How the ride differ from stock? I do prefer a nice stiff/firm ride... I don't have the desire to do a coil over setup as I have never had this car on a track, and I do have more than one car to maintain.

This issue has been considered so many times.

Personally for me GTWORX springs work perfectly both in terms of performance for DD/track (very smooth yet firm ride) and look (drop is small, but there is noticeable difference in appearance compared to the stock).

If you want some more drop you may as well consider Swift springs - on a car of a friend of mine Spec-R's are working good as well and his Evo is slightly lower than mine is.

I haven't checked into GTWORX springs. I'll check those out. I don't want the car too low as I am afraid the 17x9 wheels with 255 tires may rub the fenders......

Ok, I have about decided to go with coilovers instead of springs.

The local place recommend either Megan or Stance. Which of these two is the better? Are there any other similar priced alternatives I should consider?

I took a leap of faith and ordered a set of Stance GR+ coilovers for my Evo 8. Are these considered decent coilovers? My car is a DD, but I always enjoy a nice stiff ride. I occasionally do mountain runs in North Georgia.

Any photos or comments from anyone who has these on their 8 or 9?

kind of late to ask that since you already ordered them. I picked up a set of used Megan coilovers on this forum for crazy cheap and i love them so far.
