FINALLY, I bought an Evo

I traded in an AWD '92 DSM 6-4 combo for my '03 Evo. Driving off in my new Evo I thought, "This feels like my '92 with everything fixed I didn't like." Not knocking my '92, it took me through some bad places and times.
The one thing the '92 had that the Evo doesn't is gas mileage. It would go 400 miles on a tank.
Anyway, congrats on having both.

Handling the power is no problem, I have a buddy who has an LS1 twin turbo Camaro that dynoed 889 hp. He usually comes over and has me drive him around and beat on his car so he can feel the power from the passanger seat.
His car is on Facebook on Cincy Speeds page if anyone wants to see for themselves, it is Johns 01 Camaro and it is the black SS. Thanks for the welcome everyone, I can't wait to get the car.

Looks like a clean car. I see he kept the AC with his turbo setup as well. If he ever put a sticky tire on that car he would probable break the rearend backing out of the driveway making that kinda power. Tell him to man up and put a 12 bolt in the car!

I would probably beat him. He will not buy a strong rear end or good tires, and the car spins like crazy until 4th gear. We always give him a hard time because he will dump tons of money in high dollar motor parts but not in tires or stronger rear end. He still has the stock 10 bolt 7.5" rear.

We keep telling him to buy a built 9" that is made to just bolt right in the car, but he keeps saying he doesn't want to lose his ABS. I don't see how it hasn't broken the rear yet, that is an awful lot of power. I would be afraid an axle might pass me up one day while getting on it. The car is SPOTLESS with only 38,000 miles.

Guys I have a question on the rear view mirrow on the windshield. The PO had a new windshield installed and the bracket for the mirror was already on there, the problem is it is a little wider than the original mirror so now we can't mount it. Does anyone know if the mirror brakcet from a IX is different from an VIII? I doubt it but I don't know. Looks like I might have to go to the stealership which is like 45 mins. away from me and but the piece that is glued to the windshield. Thanks.
