New Guy in Japan, From Texas W/Evo V

How's it going, I live down in Okinawa have been here for a very loong time (before the internet) I have a near 1000hp S15 built for Drag, and I have a Evo 5 for everything else. once I maneuver the FAQ's on posting pics and Vids I will get some up.

For the Evo I have Eagle crank, Mahler pistons, 272 cams, Springs, Valves, etc I have the full build for the engine, I will have DSS axles all the way around, PPG dog box eventually, with new diff and transfer. Not sure my power goals but i want it to last.

lol Just for GP

Thats quite the serious list of parts there I'm willing to bet anything under 800whp will last quite a while other than your clutch heh.

Thanks, I will be honest I was hating on evo's but this thing is a best out of the box. I put the Weds SA-55M rims on there and it looks great. 18x9 +20 all the way around. Not sure what turbo I want to go with yet, The S15 has a T88-38GK with a 18cm housing but I don't want that lag on the evo I want it crisp and able to smash and 1/8mile run with ease

The strangest thing for me is see 120% more Evo building, modifying, racing, etc. in the states than here in Japan. They are just an out of the box daily over here not many doing much more than Gymkana and Touge.

Desired power and response is going to really depend on the fuel that readily availiable to you. The evo is quite the glutton for octane it just really LOVES high octane fuels like e85 or anything over 100 octane in general.

Plenty of responsive choices for turbos like most commonly the green or sst which are nearly stock spool but power is of course limited.

What kind of spool range are you looking for?

Unfortunately being in Japan I don't have the luxury of E85 I do however have close to 100Octane but it costs....A lot!!!

Well if you have something close to 93 octane you can achieve a lot of power but it will take a laggier turbo.

Thanks I have a friend that pretty much lost his entire fleet of imports (Camaro's, Escalades, Tacoma's etc) over 2.4Million worth of inventory but he donated that loss to everyone in his community. Awesome Dude.

Ok the pics are loading as I type this. I am sure I am going to hear comments about my tails lol oh well just know I did not buy them but I am going to tolerate them. I will be picking up a EVO 6 next week for part out everything goes!! I am going to probably swap tails.
