Buy a 2011 X now or wait a little longer for the 2012?
Newbie here and this will be my very first post. Anyway, I almost bought a brand new Evo X the other day until I found out that they're going to come out with the 2012 models. Unfortunately the salesman that I spoke with didn't know the specific release date. Do you guys know what month the Mitsubishi dealers will put them out on their lot? I'd like to have the "last" Evo X year model and I suppose I can wait for a month or two more. But on the other hand, I really wanna get my hands on an Evo now...

I was in the same dilemna, but just got a 2011 WW GSR. I got a pretty good deal on it. I really can't see anything much different for 2011, but who knows? Generally, it seems like new models debut sometime in the fall. I would expect around October or November of this year for the 2012 models to come out.

the way mitsu makes the evos is that they just "fix" their crap in their older year model. They dont really add or remove much from it. 10 to 11, besides recalls needed to be done on the 10s were done on the 11s oh and the exhaust sounded sportier... (Exhaust is the first aftermarket part you get...) A difference between 10 and 11 were the options for it. In 10 they had 4 models and you were stuck with those. For example full leather recaros came with mr touring. (I believe the SE had semi leather?).
But in 11s you were able to get a sunroof, SSS, full leather on a GSR if you wanted. Going by this, 2012 models really wont have jack on them that you should wait for. It will just be a "newer" car. If any model needs to have recalls done, the dealer does it for free anyhow.
