Florida Bound - Days away from EVO VIII
What's up guys.
I've been an active forums guy for 10 years now. Myspecv.com and any honda forum I could find.
I've had 3 cars in my day. When I was 16 I was surprised with a 2000 Camaro V6 at school by my pops.
It had ALL the bells and whistles! - Automatic, Broken driver window, Tachometer didn't work. Sheer Awesomeness! - lol. But what can you say? It was a GIFT from my dad for FREE!
2 weeks after having that car I totaled it. Coincidentally I was T-Boned by another V6 Slwomaro.
Next up was a 2002 Nissan Sentra SE-R (non spec v - 5 Speed)
I <3'd that car. I dumped probably 15k into that car. Turbo'ing it, internal work, pretty riced out body kit - Teenager! - Eventually though, it wasn't what I wanted anymore. I couldn't get the A/C stay working for more than a few weeks at a time. It was having constant annoying problems and honestly I started to not like it that much anymore.
Than came my 2007 Honda Civic SI fa5. My current car. (I still have the Sentra, I've been parting it out for some time now though). This car is... good. Slow, but nice. 200hp = Boo.
Now, though, I've been itching to get back into boost. I love sedans. And I've driven my share of AWD cars. I've loved VIII's for years and years and years.
Well now it's my time. I found a 03 VIII and also an 05 VIII RS. I haven't determined which one to buy yet. Both sitting at around the same miles, both pretty much stock under the hoods. The 03 is 5 grand less though.
The RS is White. And the 03 is that amazing blue.
My heart is leaning towards the 03. I will find out which one I drive home with on Tuesday! - I don't remember the last time I was this excited. It's actually incredible.
Regardless... I'm here. Plan on being here a while. I'll definitely post some pics of whichever one I choose.

So I just met up tonight with Scott from TTP Engineering and looked at his 03 EVO.

Put a deposit down on it too.
Anyone ever seen this car around?
Any info you think I should know before I go head first into an evo for the first time? Granted I've had multiple cars and turbo and all... But definitely new to Evo and Mitsubishi actually.
