I have been told recirculating my BOV is bad for my car t or f?

I recently bought an evo about 2 weeks ago the guy before me had already upgraded the intake cams exhaust added a fuel management system etc. Also its been professionally tuned.

He did give me the recirculation piece with it but a few people have told me recirculating a bov is bad for your engine.

Then again i heard it can actually get rid of a little bit of turbo lag.

So is recirculating a blow off valve good or bad.

(sorry if this has been discussed i searched it and couldnt find the exact answer im looking for)

Evos seem to prefer recirculating if I recall correctly.

Having your valve recirculate to the intake won't hurt your engine, no worries there. It just doen't have that "baller" sound yo!

If your car still has a MAF sensor having it recirculate is the way to go.

The evo was made to recirculate the air back into the intake, not recirculating the air back into the intake can cause your car to stall and die when you shift gear or go into neutral to stop. So recirc = good no recirc = bad. Only reason why that wouldn't be true is if you are not using your mass air flow sensor and running speed density.

Also, whoever told your recirculating the BoV is bad for your Evo, don't ever go back to that guy for car advice. The Evo in stock form has a bypass valve which is pretty much the same thing as a BoV, only difference is the bypass recircs into the intake and not made to vent to atmosphere.

^^ This. Please don't ever talk to that guy about your car again! He clearly doesn't know a thing about Evos.
