New Evo X GSR (STi Convert)

I've been a long time lurker and always wanted an Evo. However, I was sidetracked a bit and bought two Subaru STi ('04 & '11 sedan). I traded the '11 STi in last night and came home with an '11 GSR with SSS. The main reason for trading in the STi is the fear of getting the dreaded ringland failure. Haven't put the car into it's paces yet. Two things I noticed with the GSR is that there is condenstation on the rear tail lights and the car seems to jerk or hesitate at around 3200rpm when driving at a slow pace. Are these common issues? I'm going back to the dealer this weekend to for the tails and possbily a reflash.

Welcome! I haven't had the condensation, but I'm pretty sure I know the jerk/hesitation you are referring to. I haven't really thought much of the hesitation, since my problem with my 2011 is the 2nd gear notchiness... which has gotten worse with the cold weather. Hopefully, I'll have that resolved soon with either new fluid or the clutch pill delete.

I know you'll love the Evo, good choice!

Welcome. I've read that the hesitation around 3200 RPM is the turbo lagg. What's a ringland failure?
