call Mike Rice at Don Herring Mitsibushi in Irving. he calls me everytime he gets an Evo in. He said he just got a WW Evo IX that he claims is the cleanest pre-owned he's ever taken in... 40k miles, and I don't know any other details. but it's worth a shot to go look or call

$23,500

I know it was probably high, but it was a dealership so that is to be expected. I'm starting to suspect the car was put back to stock...

I also believe either my axles or wheel bearings are out due to the noise I get rolling. My brother used to be a volkswagen tech but he can't remember how to diagnose which axle is bad. Is it the one, when driving the car, if you turn right and it makes the noise - does that mean it's the driver or passenger side axle? He couldn't remember if that meant inner or outer axle is the bad one

getting new tires as we speak, I don't trust Firestone to jack the vehicle up and torque the lugs right, so I just took them off and dropped them off

may as well clean up the brakes

debadged the Evo today, I was pissed when I found out the condition of the paint under the Mitsubishi emblem... so I put it back on

Before:

During:

Scratches under the emblem, I don't know what the hell happened or why, but I think someone tried to pop off the emblem using a screwdriver to pry it?

All polished up:

You can see the difference in polished trunk vs. rest of the car

Think I have 25k or so.

Still nice find. Mileage isn't everything a clean car with more miles is still better than a beat up one with low miles.
