The only subaru rumble worth listening too is a longblock which is nonexistent in a stock STI or WRX. The Subaru also has many many many fail issues such as crap tranny and crap rear end. I'm not being bias. I am coming from experience.

Also how did a thread from 2011 pop up?

Imho they're both good cars however the evo is easier to build and cheaper to do so.

You're gonna get way more bang for your buck out of the evo.

However you're going for only 350whp so either works and a sti with full bolt ons and tune will get 350.

My evo has 0 bolt ons and just a tune and it put down 320whp about 2 days ago. Its got a boost controller and removed the cat for a straight pipe and a megan exhaust.

After adding a bunch of piping and a ets fmic im sure im gonna be putting a huge amount down after the tune.

I'm sure everyone said it already. But if you want more then 350hp dot get sti cuz that's all your getting with stock internals, after that its all down hill with money and parts. Evos have so much potential for high hp an way cheaper to do it. You go with what you want but honestly evos are way better car, not just saying cuz I have one but from friends an people have told me. Good luck

I was out at the Mitsu dealer few days ago, and they had a almost brand new 2012 Sti sedan with less than 2500 miles on it, i asked the sales guy about it, and he said a week ago some guy came in and traded it for a brand new 2012 Evo Gsr they had left over from last year. The reason he gave was, he wanted to mod the car in the future and the Sti just did not give him the options the Evo did, and when he test drove the Evo, it drove a lot better, especially the steering.

I was gonna buy a subaru wrx or sti, even though they had motor issues. I've always wanted one, and I was gonna buy one, I'd fix it later if I had to. I sat in one on the lot, and they have a weird bump on the drivers side floor that would drive me crazy on highway drives, but whatever, I'm buying one anyway. Sales guy was a total idiot, he may as well slicked his hair back and wore a plaid suit. Screw it, I'll go out of town to get one. But first, I'll go look at an evo, so happy I did.
