Defi Gauge Question

I am thinking about buying some Defi gauges from a friend. We hooked them up to a power source and they all power up, but the boost gauge needle sticks at 30psi. Is this normal since its not hooked to a sensor or could the boost gauge be bad?

No I don't think its an issue. Did you have your pressure sensor plugged in?

No, don't have sensors for the gauges at this time. Just wanted to verify they are powering up before moving forward with the purchase.

Just checked mine and with the gauges on but the car off both oil pressure, and boost read out at 0. Don't know if this helps, seeing as mine are fully hooked up. But I would think even if they aren't hooked to the sensors they would still zero out, again don't quote me I've never tried them without being fully wired. Good luck.

No my gauge was all messed up from when I put it in my old evo to my new one. I think this is pretty normal. Once you plug the sensor into the control box it will read fine. (i think)
