Just over 47k miles on mine. No major problems. Replaced the stock Panasonic battery, the serpentine belt and idler pulleys, spark plugs, oil, brake pads, and tires.

were all of these issues (rear diff, clutch, tc, ACD fail) addressed in the 2012 X's?

literally none of those things were ever a major issue on this car. maybe with the exception of the chain (since a new design came out, im guessing it was big enough of a issue for mitsu to make some changes).

my clutch has 80k miles right now and it drives perfectly normal.

rear diff?? idk about this one. never heard anything bad about the evox' rear diff. i know the previous evo 9 and 8 had sub-par tran/rear diff (especially the mr with 6spd).

the acd fail is something we angelenos have no idea about. apparently, this is something you experience if you live in colder climate areas.

i was kind of worried when purchasing my 08 rr. first year model and it's been sitting in the dealer lot for 10+ months??? turns out i had nothing to really worry about. 3 yrs of ownership and 80k+ miles @ around 360-400 tq not a single issues with my car. my DRL and those corner ambers seem to go out like those cheap christmas tree lights but other than that, the evox is solid car.

the only thing i had to "fix" was the plastic pulleys. upgraded to the metal hyundai pulleys.

'08 GSR here. Just about to turn 55k miles. Replaced ACD pump around 30k miles under warranty. Going in for clutch this week. No idea about the timing belt or diff pins, but it drives fine so far. DD every day to work and back, only thing I look forward to really.

I have an 08 with 62k miles and stock clutch gave up today, smelling clutch and slipping. Any recommendations?
Would replacing it with OEM worth it?

What parts are needed for this replacement.

Thanks guys!

replace it with something aftermarket. i believe the stock clutch isn't cheap either.

are you planning on doing the install yourself?

See i love the look of the 08 models cause that is what a Evo X should look like, but my question is can i get the dash display of the 10+ models in the 08 since can obviously get the 10+ SST in it.

mark, i would stick with the stock clutch. remember that most aftermarket clutches will require you to "updrade" your cmc.

from what i gathered, the clutch job on the evox require lots of hard work.
the only shop i'd recommend is KTM in chatsworth, ca. great group of guys with ethics!!! shop owners name is kim. he'll take great care of you and your car.

what is your power goal?? is the evo your dd?
