Lets just say it took me 22 years to get into an EVO since the day I was born. I plan on owning all three evos- VIII/IX/X eventually hahaha
My dream is to have them all parked next to each other in my driveway

I am 61. I bought my Evo new in 2003 and now have only 27,000 miles on it as I garage it winters and have a two mile drive to work. My car is stock except for stainless brake and clutch lines. The battery and clutch are original. I've gone through three sets of OEM tires with each set lasting 8,000 miles, now I have a Michelin all season which is tracking towards 25,000 miles and has improved my highway mileage by 2 mpg. Of course, I've lost some handling. After eight years I still enjoy the Evo even if in 2003 and now it was age inappropriate. My wife can't stand its "buckboard ride". It's a better car than my former Supra Twin Turbo which lacked limited slip and linear acceleration.
